Inaugaration of "MATH TEA Club"

"The department of Mathematics inaugurated the “MATH TEA Club” on 29th June 2022. Dr. B C Ashok, Dean, student welfare inaugurated the club by launching the logo of the club. Dr. N. Bhaskar, HOD, Department of Mathematics enlightened on the objectives of the club & Dr. Sandeep R, Associate professor, Department of ECE, spoke on the Applications of Fourier analysis in Signal processing and motivated the club members. The club is intended for the following objectives
(1) Discussion of Mathematical concepts with engineering applications.
(2) Enhancing Problem solving, presentation, and analytical skills in students through competitions. (3) To guide students in higher education."

Finishing Schools

Finishing Schools are provided for the students to enhance their knowledge in Civil Engineering practices and make them industry-ready as per the growing demands of the construction industry through courses by Industry experts in the field on the topics such as quantity surveying, Project Management, Applications of Total Station in Civil Engineering, Good Construction Practices and many more.

Workshop on “Web Technologies: Java Script & XML”

The Department of Information Science and Engineering organized a one-day workshop on “Web Technologies: Java Script & XML” for students of the IV semester on 24th June 2022. The objectives of the workshop were to get hands-on experience on Web technologies and to analyze Java Script, XML and its Applications. Mr Pratheek R Bhat, Full Stack Developer at Engagedly Software Pvt Ltd was the resource person for the workshop. The speaker explained the opportunities in the field of web designing and suggested a lot of courses that can be taken by students to know about javascript and XML. Prof. Megha V and Prof. Bindushree V were the event coordinators.

Industrial Visit to CIIL

"The Department of Information Science & Engineering, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, conducted a one-day industry visit to CIIL, Mysuru for the 6th-semester students on 1st July 2022. The objective of the industrial visit is to Introduce CIIL and their work towards Natural Language Processing (NLP) and applications to students. Students got to know about the work culture of CIIL. The students also, visited the Linguistic Data Consortium for Indian Language (LDCIL), a repository of linguistic resources in all Indian languages in the form of text, speech and lexical corpora. Later students were taught about the applications of NLP and the Bharathvani project of CIIL. Dr. Prema N S, Dr. Prashanth M V, Prof.Rajini S and Prof. Chandini S B were the faculty coordinators. "

Workshop on “Software Testing and its Tools”

"Department of Information Science and Engineering, VVCE, organized one day workshop on “Software Testing and its Tools” for students of ISE 6th sem on 24th June 2022. The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Mallikarjuna G D, Founder and Director of SUPER NEET INDIA Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, Founder of Snipe-IT solutions, Ms. Rajalakshmi S, Infosys Corporate Trainer, Mysuru. The Agenda of arranging this workshop was to give the students technical/practical insight into the software engineering process and software testing in Industry. The Resource Person gave great insight on Software Testing in Industries and Opportunities in Software Testing, role of the tester and developer during software development was clearly explained. The concepts of black-box testing, white-box testing and agile methodology were taught in detail. Prof. Chandini S B and Prof. Vidyashree K P were the event coordinators."

Code a thon 22

Code Club, Dept. of CSE, organized the coding contest "CODE-A-THON-22", in association with RUBIXE Pvt Ltd and ISTE on June 1st 2022.

Entrepreneurship Event by ASPERA

The Entrepreneurship Cell - ASPERA in association with IIC - VVCE conducted the Entrepreneurship @ School event on 29.06.2022 at Sri. K Puttaswamy School. The Head Master of the school and members of ASPERA were present at the event.

E Summit on "Challenges for an Entrepreneur in the current scenario" by ASPERA

"The Entrepreneurship Cell - ASPERA in association with IIC - VVCE organized an E Summit on "Challenges for an entrepreneur in the current scenario" on Tuesday 28th June 2022. Mr. Sumanth Prabhu M G, Co-Founder and CEO of Kidvento Education and Research Private Limited and Mr. Adarsh Ramesh, Designated Partner, Inside Out Mysuru, took part as panel members."

Mysuru Start-up Pavilion

"The Associate Members of TiE Student Chapter @ VVCE attended curtain raiser event of Mysuru Start-up Pavilion on 04.07.2022 at Vijnana Bhavan Auditorium, UoM campus. HH YKC Wadiyar, Shri Madan Padaki, Prof. G Hemantha Kumar, Mr. Anish Upadhya, Mr. D Sudhanva, Mr. Vishwaprasad were present during the event. Faculty members Dr. Lokesh C, Ambika V and Dr. VPN Hegde with 40 students attended the event."

Tech talk on " Software Engineering"

Department of CSE(AI&ML),organized Tech Talk on 01/07/2022 on the topic "Software Engineering " for 4th semester Students Ms.Sheetal Jain ,Application Development Associate at Accenture was the resource person.

Department of CSE(AI&ML),Organized Technical talk on 02/07/2022 on the topic" Design Thinking for Digital Transformation solutions powered by AI&ML" . Mr.Pavan Mujumdar ,startup mentor and Associate.

L & T EduTech MoU

"To establish industry-academic relationships and to provide exposure for the students, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), 3rd Stage, Gokulam, here signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Edu Tech on Thursday (July 7, 2022). The officials from L&T Edu Tech, Niranjan Simha, Advisor - Strategic Initiatives, Shoba Arun, Head - Corporate Technology & Engineering Academy, Mayank Ranjan, Manager - Academia Partnership and Pavan Kumar Reddy, Assistant Manager - Academia Partnership and from VVCE, Gundappa Gowda - President, V V Sangha; P Vishwanath - Secretary, V V Sangha; Srishaila Ramannavar - Treasurer, V V Sangha; B Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE; S K Prasad, Head, Department of Civil Engineering; GV Naveen Prakash, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering: Gopala Reddy, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a few faculty members participated in the signing of MoU. The objective of signing MoU is to bring together the efforts for imparting knowledge and honing the skills of the students by training them in the latest technologies. This would facilitate a comprehensive partnership in the areas of research, workshops, faculty engagement programmes, professional development and faculty development programmes. The collaboration will help the young professionals to equip themselves with the necessary skill set required by multinational companies. (NGB) "



Kumari. Rea Elizabeth Achaiah 6th sem ISE vvce, Mysuru, she received Best Women sports person award 2019-20 & cash award Rs. 17000/- from VTU Vice- Chancellor Dr. Karishiddappa held at SJCIT, Chikkaballapura on 27 June 2022.

Rea Elizabeth Achaiah of 6th sem - ISE has secured the second position in the Open 5km marathon which was held on 26th June 2022 and won a cash prize of Rs.3,000 Builders Association of India in collaboration with Bairy developers had conducted a Green marathon on the occasion of World Environment Day.


Dr. Mahadevswamy, Associate Professor, Department of ECE was the Session Chair in the International Conference on Engineering Innovation(ICEI-2022), Organized by Jain Institute of Technology, Davanagere, India in association with the Technical Institute for Engineers on 3rd June 2022.

Dr.Mahadevaswamy, Associate Professor, Department of ECE received a Best Paper Award for the paper entitled "Smart Gloves for Visually Challenged" Presented at the International Conference on Engineering Innovation(ICEI-2022), Organized by Jain Institute of Technology, Davanagere, India in association with Technical Institute for Engineers on 3rd June 2022.

Dr. Rajini S, Assistant Professor, Department of Information Science & Engineering published a paper entitled "A Review on Cross-Platform Music Players" in IRJMETS.

Dr.Gururaj H L, Associate Professor, Dept. of CSE was invited as Session Chair for the 2022 International Workshop on Computer Science and Engineering(WCSE 2022), Xiamen, Chain from 24th to 27th June 2022.

Dr.Gururaj H L, Associate Professor, Dept. of CSE was invited as a resource person for a three-day workshop on "Blockchain Technology" from 1st July to 3rd July 2022, organized by Adichunchanagiri University.

Dr.Gururaj H L, Associate Professor, Dept. of CSE was invited as a resource person for a day workshop on "Cyber Security using Kali Linux" on 22/06/2022 organized by the Dept. of CSE, Mandya.

Mr. Pushkin K M, Instructor, Dept. of CSE, has completed the Apple Teacher Certification program from Apple.

Dr. Balagangaduarai, Dr. Paramesha K, Dr. Adithya C R and Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde, faculties, Dept. of CSE, presented a research article at the 5th International Conference on "Soft Computing and Signal Processing", during 24th-25th June 2022, organized by Malla Reddy College of Engineering and Technology.

2022 Batch Placed Students



The training and Placement department organized a webinar on GRE & TOEFL on 30th June 2022, 6:00 PM by Ms Bhanu Sharma.


" The Training and Placement department conducted mock interviews for 2023 batch students of CS, IT, EC, EE and ME branches. There were 53 faculty members present in the panel. 23rd June 2022 – A total of 317 students participated. 24th June 2022 - A total of 293 students participated."

The training and placement department organized advanced technical training for Super 100 students of the 2023 batch on 25th and 26th June 2022, 9:00 am to 4.30 pm.

Training and Placement department conducted Mock GD and PI by company personnel from Oracle, Capgemini, Accenture, Maersk, and GoJek for 2023 batch students of CS, IT, EE, CV and MECH branches on 2nd and 3rd July 2022.
