Code Club, Department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted 2 hours debugging contest “BUG SMASH” for the first and second-year students of all the branches of VVCE on 2nd August 2022. The main objective of the event is to inculcate competitive coding culture into students.

Workshop on “Simulation Tools for Data Communication”

"The Department of Information Science and Engineering is organizing a one-day workshop on “Simulation Tools for Data Communication” for students of the 4th semester on 26th July 2022. The objectives of the workshop were to help the students to get hands-on experience with the Simulation tool for data communication and also to analyze Network Topology, and packet tracing using the simulation tool. Dr Gururaj H L, Associate Professor, Dept. of CSE, VVCE was the resource person for the workshop. Prof. Rajini S and Dr Mohammed Muddasir were the event coordinators. " "


Wherein Industry consultant Er. Umesh Rao provided technical knowledge to connect students to the industry in the areas of Structural Design, Detailing and Construction aspects. " "


Students of IV semester of the Department of Civil Engineering visited Harangi Dam, as part of their Activity Based Assessment for the subjects Applied Hydraulics and Engineering Geology and Geoinformatics.

Mini project exhibition on "Computer Graphics"

The department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a mini project exhibition of Computer graphics and visualization for the students of the 6th semester on July 13, 2022. Totally 76 teams participated in the event and 3 teams banned the prize.

Technical Talk

The department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a technical talk for 6th-semester students. The resource person was Mr Gowtham K V, User Interface designer, TCS Interactive gave insights into graphic designing and highlighted the applications of computer graphics and visualization.


The Barcamp of computer science and engineering conducted an event called technophile on July 1, 2022, for the students of the second and fourth semesters of CSE. Totally 14 teams participated in the technical debate, quiz and debugging competition and of which 2 teams won the prize.

Industry Visit to SKANRAY Technolgies

4thsem Students from Department of CSE(AI&ML),Visited SKANRAY Technologies ,Mysuru as part of Industrial Visit on 27/07/2022,61 students with 2 faculties have visited the industry.

Conducted "BARCAMP"

Department of CSE(AI&ML),Organized Barcamp on Digital poster presentation and Technical Quiz on 28/07/2022.Students from 1st and 2nd year participated in the events.

KSTA&ISTE sponsored FDP on "AI in IOT and Computer Vision"

Department of CSE(AI&ML),Conducted 2 days KSTA&ISTE sponsored FDP on "AI in IoT and Computer Vision". Participants from various institution and our institution participated in the FDP.Mr.Praveen Hanchinal,Project Manger,AI Valley,was the resource person.

Participated in First VTU Education Conclave

VVCE participated in first VTU education conclave at Palace grounds ,Bengaluru on 31 July & 1st August. During the conclave many parents and students interacted with VVCE faculties.



Mr Shrivatsa and Ms Chinmayee D S, students of the 6th Semester are placed at ECOLAB with a package of 9LPA.

Rea Elizabeth Achaiah, 6th sem, Dept. of ISE bagged 3 gold medals at the All India Inter-University Roller Skater Championship 2021-22 held at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Uvais Mon V V N and Varsha G Bhat, 8th-semester student, Dept. of ISE, are placed with a package of 12 LPA at HPE.

NANDUSHREE N of VIII semester student of Department of Civil Engineering was awarded as BEST OUTGOING STUDENT OF THE DEPARTMENT AND OVERALL CHAMPION OF THE COLLEGE.

Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, Associate Professor, Dept. of CSE and the IEEE CS STUDENT CHAPTER team has received a fund of INR 23, 391($ 300) for the conduction of various activities.

Dr Ravi Kumar V, Dr Gururaj H L, and Mr Sunil Kumar, faculties, Dept. of CSE, are selected as editors for Edited Book on Smart grids security using Blockchain Technology, Published by IET Digital Library.

Dr Ramakrishana Hegde, Associate Professor with other co-editors has published a book titled "Data Science".

Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, Associate Professor, Dept. of CSE, was a judge for GirlGreeksHack 2022 organized by IEEE Computer Society Bangalore, Chapter in collaboration with BMSCE IEEE Computer Society.

Dr M R Pooja, Professor and Head, Dept. of CSE, inaugurated Science Club at Vijaya Vittala PU College on 22/07/2022 and delivered a talk on 'Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

"Dr A B Rajendra, Professor & Head, Department of Information Science & Engineering delivered an informative & thought-provoking lecture on the topic “Cyber Security and Blockchain Technology” as an expert speaker for an FDP organized by Atria Institute of Technology, Bengaluru from 27th to 29th July 2022. "

Prof. Megha V, Prof. Aishwarya T, Prof. Gagana S and Prof. Bindushree V of the Information Science & Engineering department completed 3 NITTT modules.

Prof. R Kasturi Rangan of the Information Science & Engineering department completed 2 NITTT modules.

Dr C Balarengadurai Department of Computer Science and Engineering served as Session Chair for Springer Conference, MRCET, Hyderabad.
