Industrial Visit


One-Day Industrial Visit was organized for V semester students of EEE at BEML, Mysuru on 18/12/21.

International Conference on Recent Trends in Machine Learning and Computing System (RTMCS-2021)


The Department of Information Science & Engineering in association with the Department of CSE(Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) successfully organized the International Conference on Recent Trends in Machine Learning and Computing System (RTMCS-2021) on 17/12/2021 and 18/12/2021. Dr. Anand Nayyar, Duy Tan University, Vietnam and Dr. Danilo Avola, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy were the chief guests for the event. The conference was held on a virtual platform. Dr. A B Rajendra, Professor & Head, Dept. of ISE and Dr. Vinutha D C, Professor & Head, Dept. of CSE(AI&ML) were the Program chairs. Many scholars and researchers participated in the conference.

Bike Ride to Tadiandamol- School Outreach Activity


*Roving elites of VVCE-REV*, biking club of Department of Mechanical Engineering organised a bike ride to Tadiandamol with the motto of helping the children's in a government school and cleaning the mountains on 18/12/2021, Saturday. Around 40 students and 3 faculty members participated in this event.

Soundarya B C, M.Tech,3rd semester, Dept. of CSE, co-authored by Dr. Janhavi V, Dr.Gururaj HL and Ms. Kavyarani SR presented and published a paper entitled “ Comprehensive Analysis of Various Cyber Attacks ”, in Mysore Sub Section International Conference (MysuruCon), IEEE.

Rea Elizebeth Achaiah of 5th semester, Information Science & Engineering department won Gold medal in 500m and Bronze medal in 200m in 59th National speed roller skating championship held at New Delhi.

Laksh Dechamma M U, 3rd semester from Department of Information Science & Engineering is qualified for All India University Basketball Tournament to represent VTU.

Mr. Naveen H V and Mr. Vivek Chandrashekar from ISHRAE STUDENT CHAPTER of VVCE have won the Hackathon from South Zone with prize money of Rs. 5000. Also, they are selected for the inter-zonal and national level where they need to exhibit a physical project. The team is guided by Dr. S A Mohan Krishna, Prof. Amruth E and Prof. Muthuraju N P.

Prof. Raghunath M J and Prof. Anoop H A, Assistant Professors in the Dept of EEE have published a paper titled Techniques to Reduce Voltage Instability of Power System caused due to Charging of EV: A Review in 2021 IEEE ICON.

Prof. Raghunath M J and Prof. Anoop H A, Assistant Professors in the Dept of EEE have published a paper titled Modeling and Simulation of EV charging station during Peak Load condition using PV and BES in 4th International Conference on Recent Developments in Control, Automation and Power Engineering.

Prof. Babu Rajendra Prasad, Assistant Professor in the Dept of EEE, participated in the National Symposium on Energy Conservation Awareness and Practices organized by the Institute of Engineers(India)Karnataka state Centre in association with BNMIT, Bengaluru on 14th December 2021.

Prof. Rakshith Gowda D S, Prof. Akshay S Bhat and Prof. Puneeth H S were awarded certificates for their exceptional contribution as a Primary Evaluator in Toycathon 2021. Toycathon 2021 is an inter-ministerial initiative organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell with support from the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Prof. Akshay S Bhat participated in the One-week FDP on “Integration of Renewable Energy with smart grid for Electric Vehicle” from 6.12.21 to 11.12.21 organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering & HRDC Cell, AMET Deemed to be University, Chennai.

Dr. Nithyananda B S participated and completed ATAL Online FDP on “Fundamentals of Electric Vehicle Technology” from 6.12.21 to 10.12.21 organized by IIIT, Bhagalpur.

Dr. S A Mohan Krishna has been selected as one of the editorial board members for ARAI Journal of Mobility Technology, which is a national journal from the Automotive Research Association of India, Pune.

Dr. S A Mohan Krishna was conferred with an international award for contribution to the education community by Kiteskraft productions and Metorx at a function held at Taj Vivanta, New Delhi on 18th December. 2021.

PLACEMENT

The training and placement department conducted offline addressing for CSE/ISE/EC/EEE BY ZENKEN 23 December 2021.

The 130 Students have attended Pool drive for Leadsquared held at NIE, Mysuru.
