Quiz Inter-Collegiate Competition
ISHRAE MYSORE CHAPTER in association with ISHRAE STUDENTS CHAPTER of our institution organized a Quest quiz Inter-Collegiate competitions for various Engineering institutions having ISHRAE Chapters at Mysore in the zonal level at Mechanical Department Seminar Hall on 18.1.23. Dr. S A Mohan Krishna and Prof. Amruth E were the faculty coordinators for the event.
Visit to IMTEX 2023
5th and 3rd semester students of Mechanical Engineering visited IMTEX 2023, Tooltech 2023 Digital Manufacturing 2023 Exhibition at BIEC, Bengaluru on 21st and 25th January 2023 respectively.

Training on Industrial Automationť
"Department of Mechanical Engineering conducted a two-day skill development training on Industrial Automation under the aegis of VSDC from 18th to 19th January 2023 for 5th semester students. Dr. Nithyananda B S and Prof. Rakshith Gowda D S were the faculty coordinators for the event."
Induction program on "V-Code Club"
Department of Information Science and Engineering in association with "Vcode Club" organized induction program for I,III and V semester students on 28th January 2023. Technical Events such as Technical debate and Technical Quiz was organized. Prof.Chandini S B and Prof. Manjesh R were the event organisers.
Technical Talk on "Software Engineering"
"Department of Information Science & Engineering organized a technical talk on "Software Engineering" for 3rd sem students on 24th Jan 2023. Mr. Ajay N Jain, Senior Software Engineer, Informatica Pvt Ltd, Bangalore was the resource person for the talk. The objective of the technical talk was to make the students gain fundamental knowledge about software engineering approaches and development cycles. Dr. Prema N S and Dr. Vartika Sharma were the event organisers.

Information Science & Engineering department organised a one day workshop on "Fundamentals of NS2 and NS3" for 5th sem ISE students. Dr. Gururaj H L, Associate Professor, Manipal University, Bangalore was the resource person for the event.Dr. Vartika Sharma and Prof. Chayashree G were the event organisers.
Two day Workshop on " Game Development "
"DevCommunity of VVCE in association with the Department of CSE, organized “Game Development Workshop"" on November 24th and 25th, 2022, for 3rd semester students. Students were taught with fundamentals of game development design using Roblox studio and its relevance in the industry along with activities that boosted their learning experience. "
Industrial vVisit to UR Rao Satellite Centre, ISRO, Bangalore
One-day Industrial visit to U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), Bangalore, was organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering on 31st December 2022. Visit to U R Rao Satellite Centre, ISRO was highly beneficial to the students, helping them to understand first-hand, the various aspects of the satellite and space missions accomplished by URSC.

"Am I Employable" activity for EEE Students
Department of EEE conducted an activity on "Am I Employable" for students of 3rd Semester students to enable the students in reflecting their strengths during employment opportunities.
Pick and speak and JAM Contest
"The Orator’s club of Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, conducted PICK & SPEAK and JUST A MINUTE session for students of 3rd and 5th semester. The event was compared by Ms. Pragya Babu and judged by the faculties of the Department of Humanities, VVCE, Mysuru. The rules of the events were introduced to participants by the student coordinators of the orator’s club and each participant was provided a minute to speak about a topic in random. The 6 best performers were shortlisted for the next round and was judged on JAM by assessing their fluency in speech. The objective of the session was to instill confidence among students to face interviews and public speaking talent building. Ms. Manogna and ms. Nagaprapthi of 5th sem CSE(AI&ML) were bagged first and second prizes respectively. Ms. Manogna of 5th sem CSE(AI&ML) was the winner of JAM session. Following the session, prizes were distributed to winners by the HOD,CSE(AI&ML)."
Outreach activity organized by Hitha srushti club
"The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, conducted an outreach activity at Kuvempu Government High school, Brindavan Extension, Mysuru. It was organized by ""Hitha srushti club"" on 09-02-2023 The V semester, CSE(AIML) students Shivakumar M and Dheemanth R demonstrated the sustainability enquiry project - water purity testing to all the high school students. The III semester CSE(AIML) students Chirag S, Gururaj D, Ramvikas S V & Shreyas R educated the high school students about the ""Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning"". The outreach activity was very interactive and educative. The school students actively involved in the sessions and the teachers of the school appreciated the efforts and involvement of the resource persons Prof. Varshitha & Prof. Latha Coordinated the activity."
